Project description

Heritage Preservation & Modern Hospitality Reconfiguration

This ambitious mixed-use development aims to revitalize a prominent commercial site into a premium boutique hotel and dining destination. The project vision centers on the delicate balance between historical preservation and modern intervention, retaining the character of the existing unlisted building while introducing a sophisticated new-build extension to increase capacity and functionality.

Architectural Scope & Reconfiguration

The design strategy involves a comprehensive internal reconfiguration of the existing fabric, transforming it into high-end hotel accommodation. This is complemented by a strategic new-build extension designed to seamlessly integrate with the surrounding architectural context.

  • Hospitality Excellence: The upper floors are being reimagined as luxury hotel rooms, featuring dedicated accessible suites and a state-of-the-art accessible lift to ensure full inclusivity.

  • Commercial Vitality: The ground floor commercial unit is undergoing extensive redevelopment to house a premium restaurant, activating the street frontage and contributing to the vibrant Earls Court economy.

  • Heritage Sensitivity: While not a listed structure, the design places a strong emphasis on preserving the building’s historical aesthetic, ensuring the new elements respect the rhythm and scale of the existing streetscape.

Sustainability & Innovation

In line with modern London planning requirements, the project incorporates advanced environmental features to minimize its carbon footprint.

  • Green Infrastructure: A bespoke green roof system designed to support local biodiversity and improve thermal regulation.

  • Renewable Energy: Integration of a solar panel array to power the building’s core systems, reducing long-term operational costs.

Construction commenced in January 2025 with a projected 18-month timeline. The site is currently undergoing a strategic pause as we refine the delivery program to ensure the highest standards of finish and heritage compliance.
