The project was successfully completed in December 2015, transforming Kelvin House into a modern residential complex of 27 flats that meets the highest standards of safety, comfort, and energy efficiency. Each flat is fully equipped with modern kitchens, ensuring convenience for residents, and the central heating system provides both comfort and cost efficiency.

  4. Project Scope: The Kelvin House project was an internal conversion of an existing building, resulting in the creation of 27 modern flats. This included 12 one-bedroom and 15 two-bedroom units, designed to maximize comfort and efficiency. The project focused on upgrading both the interior and exterior of the building to meet modern standards for residential living.

  • Skylights and Energy Efficiency: We installed 10 skylights in the existing concrete roof, designed to maximize natural light and enhance energy efficiency, reducing the building’s carbon footprint.
  • State-of-the-Art Safety Systems: A cutting-edge smoke and fire detection system was retrofitted throughout Kelvin House, ensuring compliance with the latest safety regulations and providing a safe living environment for residents.
  • Curtain Wall System and Exterior Modernization: The exterior was revitalized with a sleek, contemporary curtain wall system, including over 400 sqm of curtain walling with integrated opening windows, giving the building a strikingly modern aesthetic.
  • Roof Insulation and Skylights: We installed 2,200 sqm of insulated GRP roofing with opening skylights, enhancing both energy efficiency and ventilation.
  • Mechanical Ventilation and Central Heating: Each flat is equipped with mechanical ventilation, and a central heating system powered by gas boilers was installed to ensure optimal comfort for residents year-round.
  • Natural Smoke Ventilation: A natural smoke ventilation system was installed in communal areas to enhance safety in emergency situations, further demonstrating our commitment to resident wellbeing.

This project saw active collaboration with the local council and the Greater London Authority (GLA), ensuring that all standards were met and that the development aligned with broader community goals. The project was successfully completed in December 2015, offering high-quality modern living in a well-connected urban setting.
